I am writing to inform you of our campaign for State and Federal Twin Bill Legislation in New York and Nationwide. The Bill would allow
parents of twins, triplets and higher order multiples to decide whether to keep their children together or separate within the classroom.
Currently many schools and Principal's enforce mandatory separation policies beginning as early as pre-k, contrary to recommendations from the
NOMOTC , renown Twin Researchers /advocates such as Dr. Nancy Segal, Dr. John Mascazine, The International Society for Twins Studies.
We feel children should not be placed in classrooms based on their multiplicity but on a case by case basis so the needs of the individual
children can be safeguarded.
